LESSON 05 / 08QR codes, texts & calls
Step 1 of 7Preview · no training recordStep 1 of 7

SEE THE SITUATION

A text arrives between tasks.

A delivery alert, payroll warning or supervisor’s request can reach your personal phone while you are distracted. Do not use its link or callback number when the request is unexpected. Check the issue in the approved app or through your existing contacts. Moving to a different device does not verify the request.

YOUR GOAL

Use an independent check when a request arrives by text, QR notice or telephone.

A personal phone can still expose your work account.

Keep these essentials

A QR code is a concealed link, not proof of trust. A personal device does not make a work-account request safe.

A second channel is independent only if you establish it yourself. Follow emergency procedures for immediate safety concerns.
